Last week, we wrote an article to compare Electric Cars and Petrol Cars in Singapore – and one of the common concerns was the current lack of EV charging stations across Singapore. But – do we really have that few EV charging stations in Singapore right now? Let’s take a look at EV charging station locations across Singapore – and you can decide if this truly will be an inconvenience to you.
But – before we get into it, it’s worth knowing that there are 3 main providers of EV charging stations across Singapore. They are:
- SP Group
- Greenlots (which is a member of the Shell Group)
- BlueSG
The cost for charging your EV at each of their stations will differ, so we’ll include a cost breakdown for each of them as well. Ready to find out the EV charging station locations across Singapore? Let’s go!
1) Map of SP Group Charging Points Across Singapore

SP Group has a decent number of EV charging points across Singapore. Currently there are about 276 charging points – with 52 of them being direct current fast chargers.
DC chargers allow you to fully charge your EV in as little as 30 minutes.
While there currently aren’t many SP Group charging stations in the east, west and north of Singapore, there are plenty within the business hubs. Namely within the Central area and the Buona Vista/One North areas.
Rates: S$0.4746 per kWh for the 50kW direct-current fast charger, and S$0.4156 per kWh for the 43kW alternating-current charger (this changes according to prevailing electricity costs)
2) Map of Greenlots Charging Points Across Singapore

At a glance you’ll notice that there currently aren’t that many Greenlots EV charging points across Singapore.
Especially if you stay in the northern region of Singapore, making a trip to the nearest Greenlots charging station can be quite a hassle. You’ll have to drive all the way to Yishun, where there are 2 charging points.
Toa Payoh and Pasir Ris have a greater concentration of Greenlots charging station, with 5 and 6 stations respectively.
Naturally, the largest cluster is in the central area, with 13 charging points.
Some good news for those of you who stay in condos: Greenlots actually has EV charging points in a few condominiums within Singapore. Click here to check if your condo has a Greenlots charging points.
Rates: $1.50 – $2 per hour
3) Map of BlueSG Charging Stations Across Singapore

BlueSG has a whopping 1595 charging points across Singapore – making them by far, the largest provider of EV charging points on the island.
Interestingly, BlueSG’s charging points aren’t so concentrated in the Central region of Singapore, unlike Greenlots and SP Group.
Their charging points seem more densely located within housing estates and residential areas – especially in the east side.
However, just like SP Group and Greenlots, there aren’t many charging points in the west or north parts of Singapore.
Rates: $1/hour for first 3 hours, and $2/hour subsequently
Map With All Charging Points Currently Available In Singapore
And for your convenience, here’s a map that compiles all the charging points in Singapore – from all the different providers:

Now that you can see everything at a glance, it’s glaringly obvious that more EV charging points need to be built in the west and north of Singapore.
We’re not worried though – as each of the providers fight for market share, they will definitely work quickly to build more charging points in those areas.
All in all, while the EV charging point network still isn’t as widespread as your typical petrol kiosks, it definitely isn’t as bad as some of you might think.
So in our opinion, should the current number of EV charging points be seen as a negative point – if you were deciding to buy an EV? Probably not.
As it is, the rate of which new charging points are being built is extremely fast so it isn’t really that big of a deal.
Other factors, such as the cost of an EV, maintaining one and the rebates you can receive are still worth debating though.
Hope you found this useful!
